I am starting a surf/skate clothing line, similar to volcom, billabong, ect. where do I begin???

I know that I want to start with t shirts, sweatshirts, bookbags and stickers. I just am not sure who to contact as far as making the t shirts. I do not want some hanes t shirt with a print on top of it. I am looking for the real deal. If anyone has any idea what website or company that big companys work with please let me know.

1. lol guess what that's exactly what they do basically all those companies ever do is design, they do not make anything all the shirts are made elsewhere to their specifications ( china ) and then shipped stateside volcom, billabong ect are are located in irvine , california close to the 405 freeway, as newport beach and other beach cities are nearby, and hence the start ups are there and live there for you to be a success you must be in CA and live by the beach, and then you hit the streets to get stickers ( on every stop sign or anything else you can plaster them on, drive thru's what not ) and get your name out there, it helps if you can sponsor and young up and coming skater, as once in that crowd your name will get out, but once there, success is a tough thing to keep a hold of, around here kids are fickle, and once they think you sold out ( think Mossimo ) you'll be out of of the "in crowd", though much to Mossimo's credit he did get into Target and that pretty much saved his company, even if he did sell out
