How much warmer will wetsuits keep you in cold water?
I do a lot of cliff jumping and the water is typically cold mountain water. Will a wetsuit keep me significantly warmer?

- yes! to an extreme extent. ive used wet suits in many situations and they definitly keep you warmer. they help keep you above the water too, like a body floatie or something.
- yes it will!!! i wear one every time i go scuba diving. when you first get into the water you'll feel cold because the water will seep into a suit, but the way that the suit works is that the water will get trapped in your suit & your body heat will warm the water up & itll stay in your suit & keep you warm. then its REALLY warm & youll be really glad you wore it:)
- Yes a wetsuit will keep you much warmer. They come in different thickness. Use a thicker wetsuit for colder water. You don't have to suffer!
- A wetsuit only keeps you warm after your body heats the water inside. If you are cliff jumping, you won't be in the water for a long time, so it may not help that much. Anyway, how much a wetsuit keeps you warm depends on the thickness of the suit. They come in thicknesses between 1 to 7 mm.
